Hungary 1774 map reprint
M9 Samuel Dunn's map of Hungary and Transylvania, with Croatia and Sclavonia, Moldavia and Valakia, issued in 1774, is a must for the researcher with central or eastern European connections. Hungary and Part of Siebenburgen 1845 map reprint
M10 Our reprint of F. von Stulpnagel's map is a fine companion piece to Dunn's 1774 map described above. First issued in 1825 and revised in 1845, the map details the area east of Vienna and north of Belgrade, with provinces, roads, and hundreds of villages identified. The Northern States 1772, Norway and Sweden

M13 Originally engraved in Gotha in 1846 by Adolph Stieler, this reprinted map is enhanced by insets of Iceland, the area near Hamburg and a plan of Copenhagen. Switzerland 1794 map reprint
M27 This very detailed 1794 Laurie and Whittle map entitled A New Map of Switzerland, shows towns, large villages, castles, vineyards, Protestant and Catholic parishes, cart roads and footpaths. Holland 1814 map reprint
M31 This 1814 map was engraved by John Neele for inclusion in Thomson's New General Atlas and shows the provinces of Groeningen, Friesland, Overyssel, Drent, Gelders, West Friesland, Delft, Zealand, Utrecht and Dutch Flanders and Brabant and neighboring regions. The Netherlands 1814 map reprint
M32 This 1814 map was engraved by J. Moffat for inclusion in Thomson's New General Atlas and shows the area between the France - Germany border south of Dutch Flanders and Brabant, including modern day Belgium. Denmark 1799
M35 Entitled A New Map of the Kingdom of Denmark, Comprehending North and South Jutland, Zeeland, Fyen, Laaland, and Part of Holstein, from the Latest Authorities, this 1799 map by John Cary shows towns, villages, roads and internal subdivisions as they appeared at the end of the 18th century. Northwest Italy 1799 map reprint
M36 Entitled A New Map of Piedmont, the Duchies of Savoy and Milan, and the Republic of Genoa, with Their Subdivisions from the Latest Authorities, this 1799 map by John Cary shows the area east from Geneva in the north and Nice and Monaco in the south to the Duchies of Parma, Massa and Tuscany and the western border of the Republic of Venice. Sweden and Norway 1875 map reprint
M39 Edward Weller's map entitled Sweden and Norway was first issued in London in 1875. Showing the internal provincial subdivisions in each country, the map also locates railroad lines, principal rivers, cities, towns and many villages. Eastern Europe 1915 map reprint
M40 Drawn by the cartographer G. Peltier, this map was first published as a supplement to a French newsmagazine in 1915 to map the eastern theatre during World War I. It shows East Prussia, western Russia, Poland, and much of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, including Galicia, Bukovina and Transylvania, in excellent detail, identifying small towns and villages, railroads, rivers and their tributaries. The text and legend are in French. Black and white map, printed on 18-inch by 24-inch paper. C$10.50

The Carpathians, Roumania and Part of the Balkans 1916 map reprint
M41 Drawn by the cartographer G. Peltier, this map was first published as a supplement to the French newsmagazine L’Illustration in 1916 to map areas affected by World War I. It shows southeastern Europe from Galicia south to northern Greece and the area from Tarnow and Belgrade east to the Black Sea, The excellent detail shows small towns and villages, railroads, rivers and their tributaries in the areas that were formerly Podolia, Bessarabia, Moldavia, Valachia, Bulgaria, Roumelia, and Bukovina. The text and legend are in French. C$10.50

Danube River Valley Passau to Budapest 1885 map reprint
R18 Three 11-inch by 17-inch maps. First issued about 1885, detail the Danube River Valley from the Bavarian border near Passau east across Austria to Budapest. These maps identify many small villages located along the river and several miles inland. C$14.95

The Austrian Alpine Region 1887 map reprint
R19 Originally drawn about 1887, these three 11-inch by 17-inch maps show the alpine region in the provinces of Styria, Carinthia and Carniola north of the Italian border. Includes the Styrian and Carpathian Alps, as well as the Karwanken and Sannthal Alpine regions. Useful for locating small mountain towns and villages in southern Austria and the northern mountain regions of former Yugoslavia. C$14.95

Southern Italy 1842 map reprint
R27 A.K. Johnston's map, entitled Italy: South Part, was first issued in 1842. The map focuses on Italy south of Rome, and shows the Mezzogiorno area divided into provinces. Villages and towns, railway lines and roads are shown, as are the regional subdivisions in Sicily. An attractive large inset view of Sardinia makes this map a useful research tool. France 1830
X3 Originally published in 1830-31, this reprint of J. and C. Walker's three-map set of France is a fine example of old scientific map-making. A multitude of villages, roads and geographic features are shown as they were in the early 1800s. A smaller 1805 map of France which clearly delineates internal boundaries has been included. Black and white maps, three printed on 18-inch by 24-inch, one smaller map. C$21.95

Holland and Belgium 1860, 1772, 1783 map reprint
X4 Three sheets. Our reprint of A.J. Johnson's 1860 map of Holland and Belgium shows the provinces, railways, towns and villages of this area in the mid-19th century. The two smaller maps included in this set are: J.Bayley's 1783 map entitled A New Map of the Catholic Netherlands which depicts what is now Belgium and Luxembourg and Thomas Jeffrey's 1772 map of The Seven United Provinces, With Austrian, French and Dutch Netherlands.
