Use them as a quick cross-reference in your research -- you don't have to check two different sources to see the old and new names. These maps can take the mystery out of the name changes of the 20th century. This series of modern 1:200,000 scale road maps is a great resource for finding villages in former German areas now in Poland, Russia or the Czech Republic. The maps show communities in two languages - German and Polish, Russian or Czech, depending on the area. The PL and RS maps are indexed, using the German names. They also include a small magnifier to help you find your community, no matter how small.If you're not sure which one you need, just send us an e-mail providing the village name, state or county if known, and neighboring villages if possible.
