Use them as a quick cross-reference in your research -- you don't have to check two different sources to see the old and new names. These maps can take the mystery out of the name changes of the 20th century. And, since they are modern, they can also be used when planning travel in those areas.

1:200,000 Scale Bilingual Maps
This series of modern 1:200,000 scale road maps is a great resource for finding villages in former German areas now in Poland, Russia or the Czech Republic. The maps show communities in two languages - German and Polish, Russian or Czech, depending on the area. The PL and RS maps are indexed, using the German names. They also include a small magnifier to help you find your community, no matter how small.
